Privacy
Telegrive has no server, no analytics and no ads. Your files go from your phone to your own Telegram account and nowhere else.

Where your files go
Telegrive stores your drive in a private channel on your Telegram account. Every file, folder and album you add becomes a message in that channel, sent from your phone straight to Telegram. Telegram's privacy policy covers what Telegram does with them. Like any Telegram cloud chat, the channel isn't end-to-end encrypted.
Photos and videos go up as the original files, so the date and place stored in them go too.
What stays on your phone
- An index of your drive, so browsing and search work instantly and offline.
- Thumbnails, files you've opened, and files you've chosen to keep offline.
- Your settings, and which photos have been backed up.
- Telegram's own data for your session, kept by Telegram's library, encrypted with a key in the phone's secure storage.
- Your account's name and id, to show Home before Telegram answers. Never your phone number.
Signing out deletes the drive's index, offline copies and Telegram's data from the phone. App settings, such as the theme and app lock, stay. Your files stay in Telegram.
What the developer receives
Nothing. Telegrive sends no analytics, crash reports or usage data to its developer or anyone else. If you report a problem on GitHub, what you write there is public, so leave out anything personal.
Google Play services
On Android, reading the words in scanned pages and pictures, and the document scanner, use Google's ML Kit through Google Play services. They run on the phone and your pictures aren't uploaded, though Google may collect information about how the feature performs, under ML Kit's terms.
What the app asks for
- Photos and videos, to back them up, and the place they were taken, so the originals keep it.
- Notifications, to show transfers and backup while they run.
- Face ID or fingerprint, only if you turn on app lock.
This website
This site sets no cookies and has no tracking. To show the latest version, it asks GitHub for the newest release, so GitHub sees that request under its privacy statement.
If you send a tip, the link takes you to Jami, which takes the payment under its own terms and privacy policy. This site passes nothing about you to Jami.
